Ada Barnyard Farmers: April 2024 update

By 4-H reporter Mariah Franco Rangel

On April 21, the Ada Barnyard Farmers 4-H club had a meeting about brainstorming their fair booth, a Safety and Health report, important dates coming up and demonstrations.

First off, Waylon Clemons did a Health report about the importance of sunscreen and Bella Wagner did a Safety report about what to keep in a First Aid Kit.

Important dates coming up are the club’s Library Kick off Party on June 1. We bring small animals for people to pet and learn a little about our animals. We also have fun activities during the Kick off Party for everyone to participate in.

We will  be doing a Petting Zoo for our nursing home. We are going to bring any kind of nice, gentle animals to the nursing home around 6:00 p.m. for our senior citizens to pet and have fun with.

Mock crash event at Ada Schools on April 25

Facebook notice from Ada Schools at 9:42 a.m. on April 25:

Attention Ada High School Community!

Today at 12:45 p.m., Ada High will be conducting a Mock Crash event.

You may hear emergency vehicles being dispatched to the school, but please be assured that there is no real emergency. This is only a drill.

This simulation is an important opportunity for our students to learn about the consequences of unsafe driving behaviors and the importance of responsible decision-making behind the wheel.

Let's work together to promote safe driving habits and keep our community safe!
