Winter sports photo day, take two

On November 15, the Ada Schools winter sports teams practiced striking a pose for their official photos and the local media. Visit the school's athletics web page for ticket and schedule information.

McGuffey Drive-Thru Santa December 3

The McGuffey Memories Historical Society will host a Drive-Thru Santa celebration from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 3.

The event will be held at McGuffey Memorial Park, 199 Courtright St.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, November 19 and 20

The Ada Drama Club presents the play The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on Friday and Saturday, November 19 and 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.

The production features a large cast with a wide range of ages, from first grade to twelfth grade.

Bulldog apparel sale at Academic Boosters site

The Ada Academic Boosters Christmas Store with Bulldog apparel is open through November 24.

Orders will be ready the week of Dec. 6, 2021. Due to supplier shortages substitutions may be made for a similar brand of shirt.

Selection includes tees, sweatshirts and accessories.

Library silent auction is underway

The Ada Public Library's Holiday Silent Auction is underway, offering the opportunity to bid on packages that are perfect for holiday gift giving. The even runs from November 15 to December 11 and will benefit the library's summer reading program.

A wide variety of gift items are in the auction. The library notes from "Yoda to toys to dog treats to crafts, we have something for everyone." Photos of auction items are available on the library's Facebook page.

Santo and Schwemer file as Judgeship candidates

The Hardin County Board of Elections has certified the petition of Ada resident Maria Santo as a Republican candidate for the May 3, 2022 primary election for the newly created Hardin County Common Pleas Court, Domestic Relations Division, Judgeship.

Santo is Magistrate in the Juvenile and General Divisions of the Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Mark Schwemer has filed and been certified as an Independent candidate.

These certifications were confirmed by the board of elections on November 15.

The deadline for filing a Partisan petition is February 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.  The deadline to file as an Independent is May 2, 2022 (the day before the Primary).
