The No. 20 Ohio Northern women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the season to Capital by a 2-1 score Wednesday afternoon at Bernlohr Stadium.

The Polar Bears fall to 6-1-3 on the season and 1-1-0 in the OAC while the Crusaders now stand at 6-5-1, 1-0-1.

The goal was fifth of the season for Thorarensen while Brown picked up her fourth assist.

Capital would respond at the 23:12 mark when Livvy Hein fired a shot over ONU goalie Erin Waehner's head and into the net.

The Crusaders would strike again just before the half on a goal by Rachel Wintering.

Northern was unable to get much going in the second half, firing only one shot.

The Polar Bears held the advantage in shots by a 6-3 margin and in shots on goal by a 4-3 mark.
