Ada swim team 2-0 on the season; faces Westside on Monday

The Ada Alligator swim team moved to 2-0 on the young season after beating Shawnee 496 to 268 on June 13.

In the opening meet of the season Ada defeated Sherwood Sharks on June 10. On Monday Ada travels to the defending Western Ohio Aquatic League champions Westside.

Ada beat Westside in a dual meet last year, but Westwood prevailed in the league championships.

Commenting on the Shawnee meet, John Willamowski, Jr., Ada's coach said, "I was really proud of the way our team stepped up and remained focused. We have been working very hard this year and our team is coming along nicely."

He added: "Monday we have a tough meet ahead of us. Westside is a very talented team. I like what I have seen from our kids so far this year. They have been tremendous to work with and work very hard. It will be a close and really exciting meet."

The attachment to this story shows results from the Shawnee meet. These results show the top three finishers in each event. In our league, when you swim in a six lane pool like in Ada, the top three swimmers in each event score points. They score 5 for first place, 3 for second place, and 1 for third place. Relays are worth double. You will find the score at the end of the results.
