Job seekers workshops hosted by Ada Public Library this fall

The Ada Public Library is hosting a fall full of job seeking and unemployment help.

Professional staff from ONU's Polar Career Center will be presenting several monthly discussions on career related topics, and also offering some one-on-one assistance. The dates and topics are listed below:

Monday, Sept 9, 6 p.m.:  How to Create a Resume
Learn the best way to present your skills and experience in a professional-looking resume.

Sept 12, 1p.m.- 4p.m.:  Individual Assistance for Creating Your Resume: 
Meet with a professional staff member from Ohio Northern University's Polar Careers to get help in creating your resume or having one reviewed.  Please sign-up for one hour appointment.  Bring old resumes, dates of employment, education information, if available.

Sept 19, 1p.m.- 4p.m.:  Personal Online Job Searches:
Meet with a professional staff member from Ohio Northern University's Polar Careers to get help in searching and applying for jobs online. Please sign-up for one hour appointment.

Monday, Oct 7, 6 p.m.:  Writing Cover Letters to Accompany Your Resume:
Create a cover letter that will provide additional insight as to why you are the right candidate for the job.

Monday, Nov 4, 6 p.m.: Creating a 30-Second Self-Intro
Learn how to introduce yourself that so you make a good first-impression.

Monday, Dec 2, 6 p.m.: Behavioral-Based Interviewing
Learn how to anticipate interview questions so that you will be prepared to correlate your background, skills and education with those required for the position you seek.
