Hardin County Chamber and Business Allience provided the following list of events in Hardin County this week and beyond:

Ribbon cutting at Love In the Name of Christ
The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at Love In TheName Of Christ (Love Inc.), located at 224 W. Columbus St., (the old City Building) in Kenton on August 31 at 9 a.m. A Grand Opening will also be held in conjunction with the ribbon cutting.

Love In the Name of Christ is a proven outreach model that helps Christian churches come together to help people in need. In essence people who have a need call the Love, INC office, an intake is completed and referrals are made to different agencies that may be able to assist.
The Grand Opening will include refreshments and a consignment auction will be held at 10AM.

Ada Music Boosters annual chicken BBQ
Ada Music Boosters Annual Chicken BBQ will take place at the Ada Park on September 6 from 4:30-6:30 p.m..

Tickets are $8 each, available from any member of Ada Varsity Singers or the H.S. Marching Band, or by contacting Dave Smittle at 419.230.8147. Proceeds benefit numerous projects for Ada's instrumental and vocal music programs.

Roby’s annual warehouse sale

Dining With Diabetes
Kathy Oliver, OSU Extension Educator, Bernadette Coats, Hardin Memorial Hospital Certified Diabetes Educator, and Beth Hull, Hardin County YMCA will be offering “Dining with Diabetes” beginning at 5PM, September 23 in Kenton. 

Dining With Diabetes is a three evening cooking school and a nutrition education program. Learn more about caring for your diabetes and how to include more physical activity into your day.  Try a variety of main dishes, side dishes and desserts for your dinner meal.

Walk for Life
Raise awareness and funds for the work of Heartbeat of Hardin County. Heartbeat is a non-profit pregnancy resource center, helping men and women facing unplanned pregnancies. We are here to help men and women preserve life by either raising their own child or by choosing adoption. We offer free confidential pregnancy tests, long term support programs, and material needs for infants.

The walk is 2 miles long, open to anyone. The first 120 who register on September 14 with a $20 donation or more will receive a gift and a chance for a gift basket. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Youth under 15 years old can walk for free (with a paying adult). They also receive a chance at special gift baskets for them. Rain or Shine!

ONU Glow Run
WHAT IS ONU GLOW RUN? ONU Glow Run is a 5K Run and Walk that benefits the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life of Ohio Northern University.

This run is different because the race takes place at night and participants light up the course with glow in the dark wrist bands and after the race, participants are treated to post-race prizes. American Cancer Society staff and volunteers are excited to bring this unique and fun event to Hardin County. Sign up today to join the fun!

Date: September 20
Schedule: Registration begins at 6 p.m., Race begins at 8 p.m.
Awards: Awards will be given for top 5 runners.
Registration Pre- Registration will be $15. Pre-registrations will be accepted until September 13. Day of race registration will be $20 and participants will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Harvest & Herb Festival
Ada hosts the Annual Harvest and Herb Festival in downtown Ada every September. This year's 28th Annual festival is on Saturday, September 21. Plan to attend to enjoy the crafts, food and entertainment on Main Street. This event is sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce. [email protected] for more information.

Celebrate World Alzheimer’s Day
Come Join the Fun at Hardin Hills Health Center, September 21 from 9AM to 2PM. All proceeds benefit Alzheimer's Research.

9am-Walk to Promote Alzheimer's Awareness 
10am-Cornhole Tournament Registration. Tournament to follow at 10:30am ($20 per Team)   11am-1pm Chicken Dinners by Harlan's BBQ $8 per ticket: dinner includes 1/2 chicken, potato salad, green beans and a roll. Dine in or carryout drive through will be available

Sweet Harvest

Fish Fry
Enjoy fried fish, baked beans, cole slaw and funnel cake for $10 at Murray Park on September 28 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.. Also enjoy live entertainment. Proceeds will go towards the improvement of Murray Park.
