Could be superhero (and supervillian) day at AHS on Friday

Lots of superheros (and maybe supervillians) will attend Ada schools on Friday. This year's yearbook theme is the reason. For more details, read on, from announcements on the Ada High School website.

YEARBOOK: The theme for this year’s yearbook is comic book superheroes. On Friday, Feb. 28, there will be a superhero/supervillian costume contest to promote year book sales. The winner will get their picture in the yearbook along with a free Padron’s pizza lunch for you and five friends.

BETA CLUB: There will be a Beta Club meeting on Thursday, Feb. 27, at noon in Mrs. Schrock’s room. Members should eat lunch and then report to the meeting. This meeting is for 8th graders only, not 7th grade new members. Also fees for new members need to be taken to the high school office.

BUCKEYE BOYS STATE AND BUCKEYE GIRLS STATE: It is that time of year again when we looking for candidates. Boys State runs June 8-15 and Girls State runs June 15-21. The candidate needs to have completed the 11th grade and going into the 12th. Stop in the guidance office and speak to Mrs. Prater for more information.

LANGUAGE CLUB: There will be a short Language Club meeting Wednesday after school to finalize plans for the Mardi Gras carnival. Any Language Club student who is available should plan to attend. See Mrs. Davis if you have any questions.

JUNIOR HIGH BASEBALL: There will be an informational junior high baseball meeting on Friday during lunch in Coach Dumbaugh’s room. Eat first, and then you will be dismissed. Practice starts on Monday; March 3, and schedules will be handed out on Friday.

ATTENTION ADVISORY GROUPS: The High School Aspiration team is sponsoring a contest to promote the NHS “Clean your Closet Campaign”. The Advisory group to collect the most donated items by Friday, Feb.28, will win donut party. There will be one winner for grades 6-8 and one winner for grades 9-12. Bring in your slightly used clothes, purses, and coats you would like to donate to your Advisory teacher.-
