Upcoming @ ONU’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts
·  Take 6 – March 14 at 7:30 pm, Take 6 has garnered 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award, and two NAACP Image Award nominations. Join us for an evening of moving jazz, a cappella and gospel music.
·   Symphonic Band Concert – March 17 at 7:30pm
·   An Evening for the Arts –  March 22 at 6:30pm - 8:00pm, A "behind the curtain" open house event showcasing the music, fine arts, and performing arts departments at Ohio Northern University.

An Evening for the Arts will feature showcases and displays from fine arts students, instrumental and vocal performances from music students, technical theater portfolios on display, monologues, scenes, musical duets, and dance performances from students in the performing arts department.

A reception offering food and drink in the lobby will begin at 6:00pm, with performances starting at 6:30-8:00pm. Baby Days at Walmart
Kenton Walmart Baby Days will run Now - March 14. The Hardin County Sheriff's office will be available to do finger printing for your children on March 1 from 1:00pm till 3:00pm. For more information please call Todd Walter at 419-675-1156.

Active Parenting Now in 3
Active Parenting Now in 3 gives you great practical ways to connect and stay connected with your children.  OSU Extension, Alger First United Methodist Church, and the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund are offering parents of school aged children an opportunity to intentionally explore how to be the greatest influence on their kids. 

They will be offering a series of three sessions of Active Parenting Now in 3 on Tuesdays, February 18, 25 and March 4 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at the Alger First United Methodist Church, 101 Montville, Alger.  Child care will be provided by church volunteers during the sessions for those families requesting it. Hardin Leadership Class of 2014 Planned
Participants for the 22nd annual Hardin Leadership class, a program designed for the development of informed and effective community leaders, are being recruited now until March 3rd. Hardin Leadership is sponsored and conducted by OSU Extension, Hardin County office and the Hardin Leadership Steering Committee. 

Nine monthly sessions will focus on the knowledge/skills required by today's community leader, such as team building, public speaking, and marketing. This year’s program will be offered in morning sessions on the second Thursdays, March through November.  A tuition fee of $300.00 per person. Employers/organizations are encouraged to sponsor participants. 

Ten percent of the tuition fee is recommended to be paid by each participant as an indication of commitment to the program.  At least four scholarships are available to Hardin County residents who would be self-paying participants.
