Club member Amanda Bennett and Director of the Ada Public Library spoke to members about the 2014 summer reading program at the library.
She noted the following: 446 people signed up for Summer Reading program which included: 57-babies-age 5 (non- kindergarten) 152-kindergarten; 5th grade 76; 6th-12th grades
161; and adults, 161.
The library held 73 programs over 6 weeks, with 1,787 attending the programs!

She said that she just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the families who participated--your dedication to reading and/or your concern for your children's education resulted in staggering numbers of participants. We're so proud of Ada!

She also note that wanted to especially thank Ms. Natalie for her months of preparation and hard work that resulted in lots of fun and educational programs; and for her smile always greeting families.

Also, many thanks go to our dedicated circulation staff for gracefully handling double duty for the past 6 weeks. Thank you to Theresa, Chris, Karen, and Donna.

Finally, as always, it takes the village of Ada residents. Finally, we thank all of our donors, as well as local organizations for your assistance in making this an amazing summer!

The Ada Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday at noon at McIntosh Center, ONU. Guests are always welcome.
