Hardin County Hootenannies 4-H report

By Miranda Holbrook
(substitute reporter)

The last meeting of the Hardin Co Hootenannies was opened by President Megan Williams at the Ag Credit meeting room. We like the opportunity to meet in their fine place.   Megan asked Levi Beiler to lead the 4-H pledge and Miranda Holbrook to lead the American Pledge.  Roll call found 11 members present.

Our t-shirts are being printed.  We all signed a Thank you to Trupointe Co-op in Uniopolis for donating the money to purchase the members’ t-shirts.  We are all very appreciative.

Two of our members, Isaac and Seth Davis, were showing at the State Fair in the goat show.  Faith Holbrook will represent our group and Hardin Co with her scrapbooking project and her Family Treasure Hunt geneology project.  Congratulations to these members for a fine job.

Make-up judging of still projects is Aug 1st.  Livestock judging is Aug 4th.  You can sign up for an interview time online.

Miranda Holbrook gave her health and safety report on preventing injuries in sports.  Landyn Hijma did his on staying safe in a boat.

Megan Williams provided refreshments.

Our next meeting will be at the Cromer’s farm on Sun July 27th at 4pm.  Sean Hurley and Meadow Cromer will give their health and safety reports.  Landyn Hijma will provide refreshments.
