2014 Ada Consumer Confidence Report now available

The 2014 Ada Consumer Confidence Report, also known as CCR, will be available to the general public on June 1, 2015.

Making the report available is an annual requirement for compliance with the Safe Drinking
Water Act for community water systems throughout the country. According to the U.S. EPA, the report “lists the regulated contaminants found in the drinking water…..as well as health effects information.”

The Village passes this information along to its consumers not just to comply with
the federal regulations, but also because the administration feels it is important for consumers to know where their drinking water comes from and what affects it.

The Ada CCR also includes financial information concerning the water and wastewater treatment systems. A brief explanation of the breakdown of costs that appear on your water bill each month is a part of the financial report.

In previous years, the Village of Ada has mailed a copy of the CCR with the monthly water bills. As technology continues to change the way the world functions, U.S. EPA has recognized that mailing the reports may not be the most efficient method of getting the information to consumers.

This year, the Village of Ada is making the report available in two methods: electronic and print. Electronically, the report is available at the following website: adaoh.org/ccr2014/. That URL also appears on the May water bills, which are expected to be mailed May 26, 2015. Consumers will be able to access the report directly by using that exact URL. The report is also available in print copy at the Ada Village Office. Customers who have their water payments set up with an automatic clearing house payment (ACH) will receive a paper copy, as the ACH message on the bills does not allow for any additional messages on the bill.

Questions regarding the 2014 Ada CCR, or any information contained within the report, may be directed to the Ada Village Offices.
