Here's the lastest from Jumbo Junior Farmers 4-H Club

Jumbo Junior Farmers 4-H Club met on July 25, 2016 for their eighth meeting of the year.  The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Micah Cook followed by the 4-H Pledge led by Asher Bridenstine.  Roll call was answered with favorite cake by ll members with 2 advisors and 7 parents/guests present.  

For officer reports, Jake Bushong gave an environmental report on using manure on fields as fertilzer.  He discussed the positives and possible negatives of using manure on fields.

In old business, members talked about there experiences at 4-H Camp. They were to share what was their favorite part of camp. 5 members attended camp this year.  Next year’s camp dates were announced.  They will July 21 to July 25.

In new business, members completed their Fair Entries for the Hardin County Fair. Brenna Dyer did a cake decorating demonstration.  Two members won Outstanding Achievement Awards for their nonlivestock projects.  Brenna Dyer won for her Cake Decorating Project and Horseless Horse Project.  Noah Ketcham won for his Beginning Woodworking Project.

The next meeting will be August 22 at 7:00 PM at the McDonald Township Hall.  Brenna Dyer will bring snacks and Jake & Jeffery Bushong will bring drinks.
