Meet the Bluffton High School homecoming court

This weekend - downtown parade at 5:30 p.m.; court announced in pre-game

FROM BLUFFTON ICON - Bluffton High School homecoming is Friday. A homecoming parade in downtown Bluffton starts at 5:30 p.m. The king and queen will be announced on Harmon Field in a pre-game ceremony.

Queen candidates:

Abbie Parkins, daughter of Chad and Kristen Parkins. She participates in soccer, basketball, softball, middle school cafeteria worker, SADD, choir, NWC sportsmanship committee and math club. She is a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ. Her college plans are undecided, but she hopes to major in business.

Sierra Ribley, daughter of Shawn Ribley and Kristi and Joe Brinkman. She participates in art club, soccer and track and works in one of Bluffton’s restaurants. She was a member of the court as a sophomore and her college plans are undecided.

Kristen Yost, daughter of Jason and Jennifer Yost. She participates in show choir, concert choir, chamber choir, flag corp (captain), concert band, pep band and drama club. She is a member of St. John Mennonite Church, works at Bluffton Dari Freeze, teaches piano, takes dance classes, is on the senior high competition team and helps teach at Cindy’s Tap on Wood Studio of Dance. She was on last year’s court. Her college plans are undecided.

King candidates

Trevor Bunch, son of James and Patricia Bunch. He participates in Spanish club, math club, soccer team and tennis team. He is a member of the English Lutheran Church, is on the high school bowling league, works at McDonald’s Restaurant and plays indoor soccer. He plans to attend Bowling Green State University and major in business.

Gabe Denecker, son of Greg and Chris Denecker. He participates in basketball, choir, Renaissance member and is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He works at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. He was a member of the court as a freshman. He plans to attend the University of Findlay and major in education.

Levi Mikesell, son of Heath and Nichole Mikesell. He participates in golf, tennis power lifting and choir. He attends Liberty Baptist Church and is a lifeguard at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool. He plans to attend Wright State University and major in chemical engineering.

Drivers

Patrick Bicknell, son of Teresa Doss. He plans to attend Lincoln Technical Institute.

Zane Myers, son of Alan and Amy Myers. He participates in basketball, baseball, student senate and is senior class president. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and plans to major in engineering, but is undecided on which college to attend.

Marley Runk, daughter of Megan and Tim Runk. She participates in drama club, show choir, concert choir, chamber choir, yearbook, National Honor Society and Latin club. She is a member of English Lutheran Church and takes dance lessons at Dancers Elite. She plans to major in theatre and or arts management in college.

Andie Schmutz, daughter of Joan Casey and Todd Schmutz. She participates in volleyball, basketball and choir. She is employed at Arby’s Restaurant. She plans to major in pre-med in college.

Ana Spiridigliozzi, daughter of Scott and Gail Spiridigliozzi. She participates in soccer, student senate, track and is a class officer. She was on the homecoming court as at freshman. She plans to attend Miami University and major in neuroscience.

Ryan Sprague, son of Aimee and Jon Sprague. He participates in tennis, attends Gateway Church, was a member of the homecoming court as a sophomore and his college plans are undecided.

Sydney Staton, daughter of Rae Staton. She participates in soccer, attends New Life Assembly of God, and babysits. She plans to attend Bluffton University and major in mathematics.

Juniors

Kelli Leugers, daughter of Lisa and Darin Leugers. She participates in Spanish club, math club, soccer, cheerleading and track.

Hunter Busch, son of Brian and Jackie Busch. He participates in football and works at Anderson Tractor Supply.

Sophomores

Amelia Mitchell, daughter of Gary and Rebecca Mitchell. She participates in tennis, academic team, drama club, vice president of sophomore class and power lifts. She is a member of Gold Star 4-H Club.

Logan Rhodes, son of Brion and Julie Rhodes. He participates in concert choir, football and basketball. He works in the elementary cafeteria and elementary classrooms.

Freshmen

Kayla White, daughter of Rebeca Hasting. She participates in soccer, basketball, track and student senate.

Nephi Peralta, son of Javier and Rebekah Peralta. He participates in golf and basketball and works at Suter’s Produce in the summer.
