Varsity baseball team plays Riverdale at 5/3 Field, Toledo, in April

Want to watch Ada's baseball team play at 5/3 Field in Toledo?

The Ada HS baseball team will play Riverdale High School at 5/3 Field, home of the Toledo Mud Hens, on Tuesday, April 18.

In order to play in the minor league stadium the team must sell 300 ticket vouchers to a Mud Hens regular season game. The vouchers are $12 and may be redeemed for entry into any Mud Hens game during the 2017 season. Persons interested may contact any team member or the baseball coach.

Several other events take place this winter at Ada schools. Here's a summary from the school website.

Game Club officially begins on Tuesday, Feb. 21, immediately after school until 4:30 p.m. in Mrs. Veltri's room.  Bring your favorite game and join others.

The High School Library is sponsoring its first-ever Winter Reading BINGO!  With just over a month left of winter, take the challenge to complete one BINGO before the official beginning of spring. Stop in the library to pick up a copy of the BINGO board and get started for your chance to win gift cards to El Campo and other local eateries as well as other fabulous prizes!  The program is open to junior high and high school students as well as staff members. See Mrs. Smith in the library with any questions and to check out the display. 

ALL STUDENTS: Anyone who is interested in purchasing a PowderBuff Volleyball T-Shirt form can pick it up in the HS office or Mr. Ames' room. These are $10 and all money goes to support Prom.

 REMINDER TO ALL JH and HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS not still participating in a winter sport that track conditioning starts Tuesday, Feb, 21.  It will be in the new gym, by the cafeteria, from 4 until 5:30 p.m.  Bring clothes for both indoors and outdoors.  If it is warm enough we will go outside, so have appropriate clothing.  You must have a physical form on file with the school to participate.

ATTENTION SENIORS: If you would like your favorite Senior Picture in the yearbook, e-mail your favorite senior picture to Makayla to get it in your senior book. Senior pictures are due March 17.

THE JUNIOR CLASS will hold a PowderBuff Volleyball Tournament on March 18. This is a reverse of PowderPuff football. Boys play and girls coach. The entry of each team is $30 ($5 a player). This tournament features teams from grades 7-12. Entry deadline is March 10. Team forms can be picked up from Mr. Ames.

DATES TO REMEMBER: 
• Feb. 17: Senior basketball night, 7 p.m. Between JV and varsity game
• Feb. 20: NO SCHOOL Presidents’ Day
• Feb. 22: Spring pictures
• Feb. 28: 2-hour early dismissal, 1:30 p.m., staff professional development meeting
