Arlene Crozier was a retired Ada businessperson

Was among founders of Ada Railroad Park

Arlene L. Crozier, 93, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 9:37 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.

She was born on Jan. 16, 1924 in Ada, Ohio, to Fred H. and Edna E. (Packer) Wyss who preceded her in death. On July 17, 1942 Arlene married Howard L. Crozier and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2005 after 63 years of marriage.

Arlene was a homemaker. She previously owned and operated Crozier Crafts and worked for Reichert's Clothing Store of Ada. Arlene was a life member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church of Ada. She was a 1942 graduate of Dola High School. She was a member of the Hardin County Herb Society and one of the founders of the Ada Railroad Park and was a Master Gardner. Arlene was an avid Bingo player.

She is survived by two sons: Donald Crozier of Dunkirk and Wayne (Diana) Crozier of Ada; daughter-in-law, Donna Crozier of Tennessee; nine grandchildren: Cynthia (Sandy) Anspach of Harrod, Tamara Toland of Lima, Kari (Scott) Potter of Ada, Michelle (Tom) Graham of Lima, Tammy (Steve) Ponzar of Arnold, Missouri, Cory (Heather) Crozier of Springboro, Jody (Matt) Schmenk of Lima, Norman (Tammy) Lee of Tennessee and Bernie (Cindy) Lee of Tennessee; 19 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ivan Crozier; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Crozier; and two brothers: Bill Wyss and Bob Wyss.

Funeral services will begin at 11a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Courtnie Morton officiating. Burial will be in Hasson Cemetery, Jenera.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 13, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Vancrest of Ada at 600 West North Avenue, Ada, Ohio 45810.
