Report from the first meeting of the Blanchard Pleasant Buckeye 4-H Club

Blanchard Pleasant Buckeye 4-H club held their first meeting Monday night at HN School.  There were 44 members, 8 advisors and 13 parents present.  A scavenger hunt was held at the beginning of the meeting.  Team #7 won the event and were awarded suckers.  

    Cassie Deckling presided and asked Zoey Curtis to lead the 4-H pledge and Rylie Bame to lead the pledge to the flag.  The treasurer’s report was given.  Business for the evening included giving out fact sheets with all the meeting dates and important 4-H activity events, judging dates, and fair dates.  Clover Award sheets were also given to each member.    A Family Guide to 4-H was given to each participant to choose projects.  Advisors indicated what project areas they would be working with.  A club goal is to have 100% project completion and for each member to attend at least 5 of the 8 meetings.  Rylie Bame moved and Alyssa Heldman seconded that dues be $3.00 per member with a maximum of $6.00 per family.  Motion carried.  Those wishing to hold a 4-H office were given officer applications.

    Leif and Heidi Trachsel conducted trivia.  Rylie Bame moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Aiden Gatchell.  Motion carried.  The meeting closed by praying the Lord’s Prayer.  Refreshments were provided by the club.The

    The next meeting will be March 27th with election of officers, parliamentary procedure demo, and trivia by Alyssa Heldman.  Enrollment sheets are due at this meeting
