ADA 1898:

April Charles Storer put in a bathtub in his barber shop.

May 29 The cornerstone for the First Methodist Episcopal Church was set with a copy of the church history, a Methodist hymnal, a work by John Wesley, copies of the Bible, and current copied of Ada’s two newspapers, The University Herald and the Ada Record. The estimated cost for the new church was $26,800, which included the organ.

September 21 Train 8, eastbound and due here at 10 p.m., is a regular mail train though it has never thrown off mail here but commencing Monday night this service was begun. The mail will be distributed the first thing the next morning.
