It's an Ada school spring concert Monday

5th, 6th grade and junior high bands; 6th grade and junior high choirs

The Ada 5th grade, 6th grade, and junior high bands as well as the 6th grade and junior high choirs will present their Spring Concert Monday, May 6, at 7 p.m. in the Ada School Auditorium.

The Ada 5th Grade Band is under the direction of elementary music teacher Tabitha McPeeks.  They will play multiple selections they have been working on during the spring semester.

The Ada 6th Grade Band is under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Lischak.  The 6th Grade Band will be performing the main title from "Star Wars" by John Williams, "Midnight Mission" by Brian Balmages, and "Dragon Dance" by Michael Story.

The Ada Junior High Band is also under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Lischak.  The Junior High Band will be performing "Anthem of an Era" by Tyler Grant, "March of the Pandas" by Paul Clark, and "The Forgotten Village" by Michael Oare.

The 6th Grade choir directed by Scott Henning will perform “Shojojee”  a Japanese folk song and “My Cat Skittle” a contemporary unison song.  Junior High Choir selections include the pop songs “Home” and “Wake Me Up!” and the spiritual “Wont You sit Down?”

The concert is free and open to the public.
