Ada school's meal delivery begins Wednesday AM

It will continue through April 3 with further guidance coming from the state

The Ada school's meal delivery program begins on Wednesdays. The school will provide this service through Friday, April 3, and will await additional guidance from the state on continuing past this date should the school closure be extended, OR if the school is no longer permitted to serve meals.  The school will send alerts if anything changes.

Here are details from the school website.

• If you need to sign up, click here https://forms.gle/zFTNAE62wZqZnKWV9

• If you have questions, please call 419-634-6421.  If there is no answer, please leave a message and we will return your call with the answers you need.

• People who are interested in being added to a volunteer delivery person list should email Ms. Anna Yoakam at [email protected].

Meals will be distributed to those signed up beginning Wednesday, March 18.

Each child signed up will receive a lunch for the current day, and a breakfast for the next day.

Deliveries will depart the school at approximately 7a.m..

Meals will be placed at the door and the delivery person will knock or ring the bell.

Meals should be brought in immediately and placed in the refrigerator (more specifics on time and temperatures will be included in the bag).

A warning about allergens is also included in the documentation in the meal bag.

The requirements for food allowed to be served during this time are different than the in house school lunch program rules.  We are following what the State calls the “Seamless Summer Option.”

There will be food for lunch and the next day’s breakfast in each child’s bag.

Parents picking up meals at school should not arrive before 7:30 a.m., to allow for the loading of the delivery vehicles to be unimpeded.

Parents picking up meals must arrive before 10 a.m..

Parents picking up meals will drive to the South parking lot (auditorium/cafeteria entrance) and pull up to the curb (Deputy Sparks will be there to help direct).  A volunteer will meet you at the curb/at your vehicle and hand you the meals for which you have signed up.

Please check alerts, our web page, and/or social media for updates.

Thank you for your patience as we work to create and improve a brand new service for the community.

Thanks in advance to all who are volunteering.
