Kenton Elks select Isaac Spar as one of the county's teens of the year

The Ada HS senior tied with Kenton's Garrett Thomas • Both receive $1,000 scholarships

Isaac Spar, an Ada High School senior, is one of two young men to receive the Kenton  Elks’ Hardin County teen of the year award (for boys).

The Ada senior tied with Garrett Thomas, a Kenton HS senior, for the award. Both students scored 400 points, which is the highest overall score possible in the scholarship competition.Both students will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Elks.

The girl student of the year is Megan Miller from Hardin Northern. She was also named volunteer of the year. She will receive scholarship awards of $1,000 and $500 respectively.

Spar’s school activities include soccer, swim team, tennis team, varsity quiz bowl team, high school band, National Honor Society. He is the son of Don and Amy Spar.

Kendal Guagenti was the Ada High School’s girl representative in the Elks teen of the year scholarship event. Liberty Lawrence and Evan Lyle represented Upper Scioto Valley.
