Unfortunately, many people have also experienced this with their recommended health screening examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic. For many reasons, routine screening examinations may have been postponed, cancelled or rescheduled. In fact, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that an estimated 31.5% of U.S. adults had delayed or avoided routine medical care due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the World Health Organization one-third of adults worldwide have suffered from a headache in the past year. Among the most common disorders of the nervous system, headaches are characterized by consistent, recurring pain in the head. They can range from a dull ache to severe migraines—a type of headache that inhibits one’s ability to function.

BVHS COVID-19 vaccine update

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) will be hosting a Facebook Live entitled “BVHS COVID-19 Vaccine Update,” on Thursday, March 11 beginning at Noon.

BVHS President and CEO Myron Lewis and Dr. William Kose, vice president of special projects, will be joined by Findlay, Ohio Mayor, Christina Muryn for a discussion regarding the COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Additional topics will include future plans for vaccination efforts, the city’s response, the mobile health clinic, state directives and more.

After the birth of a precious newborn, there are a few choices that parents make that can be a matter of life and death.
