3 Brothers Pizza under new ownership in January

Brian and Kelly Clum are purchasing the business from Rod and Linda Dysert

By Monty Siekerman
Rod and Linda Dysert have sold 3 Brothers Pizza, 105 S. Main, to Brian and Kelly Clum and will open Wednesday, Jan. 2, under the new name 3 Brothers Family Pizza. The Dyserts will continue to own and keep open the business until the new owners take over the first of the year.

By coincidence, the Dyserts have three sons, hence the name, and the Clums have three sons, so there is very little change in the business name.

A look at financial volatility

My family and rollercoasters

I have four children and they are split 50-50 as far as their enjoyment of rollercoasters.

The thrill of the climb, the shock of the drop, the blood rushing through their veins – two of them enjoy every moment of the experience, but two not so much.  They were all raised in a similar environment, have common parents, same gene pool, etc. but two of them have a stomach for risk and two do not.

It should also be noted that my oldest child has developmental disabilities and she really has no business being on a rollercoaster in the first place.  (We learned that the hard way, but that’s a story for another day.)

Major interior redo underway at McDonald's

Inside closed; drive thru remains open

By Monty Siekerman
A major interior redo of Ada McDonald’s is underway and scheduled for completion on Dec. 21. The drive thru remains open, but the inside is closed until construction is complete.

There will be new interior design, seating, flooring, and painting. The interior will include a kiosk to order from, but customers may continue to order from a cashier, if they choose. The local restaurant will continue to have a patio, but the seating and tables will be new. The drive thru and parking areas will remain the same.
