Stratton Greenhouses open house May 1-3

Stratton Greenhouses, 9915 Lincoln Highway, Bluffton, announce a spring open house Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 1-2-3, according to Susie and Steve Stratton.

The open house includes drawings and several giveaways. New Proven Winner and Wave Petunias are available for the first 100 customers.

A special opening for senior citizens only is from 8 to 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Regular hours are:
Mondays - Thursdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fridays - Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sundays - noon to 5 p.m.

GROB System’s group effort creates medical testing booths

11 donated to Bluffton, Findlay and Lima hospitals; used to test for COVID-19 virus

FROM BLUFFTON ICON – Some health professionals call it the Superman booth.

Whatever you call it, a Bluffton-made product has immediate use for health care professionals testing persons who may have the COVID-19 virus.

A three-and-one-half week crash-course group effort by associates at GROB Systems resulted in creation of 11 testing booths that GROB is donating to area hospitals. The booths are being delivered this week.

The booths were created in GROB’s fabrication department, according to Emily Brock, GROB’s marketing coordinator. 

“We looked at prototypes from Boston, New York and South Korea before creating our own booth,” she said.

ONU HealthWise Pharmacy extends home prescription delivery service

Now delivers to all patients in Hardin County and anyone within 40 miles of the pharmacy

ONU HealthWise Community Pharmacy will remain open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Call 419-772-DRUG with questions.

The pharmacy has extended its home prescription delivery service to all patients in Hardin County and to anyone living within 40 miles of the pharmacy, including Lima and Findlay.

Curbside pickup at the pharmacy is also available. Individuals interested in this service should call 419-772-3784.

The pharmacy can transfer prescriptions from other pharmacies to allow anyone to take advantage of this service.

Prescriptions may be refilled through the website, the app and telephone: 419-772-3784.

Spring is here and New Leaf Landscape and Garden Center, 0395 State Route 235, north of Ada is open.

Curbside service is available for customers practicing social distancing.

• Simply call in an order, pay for it with a credit card over the phone
• Call New Leaf upon your arrival
• An employee will bring your order to your car

New Leaf has spring blooming flowers, pansy pots and bowls and Asiatic lilies, vegetable plants and asparagus roots, seed potatoes and onion sets.
