Weather cancels First United Methodist Church live nativity

The live nativity planned Sunday evening at First United Methodist Church, Ada, is cancelled due to the weather.

 

 

First United Methodist live nativity Sunday night

Despite the chill in the weather there will be a Live Nativity on Sunday, Dec. 18, at Ada First United Methodist Church, 301 N. Main St. starting at 6:30 p.m. It will reset every half hour. Come see this depiction of our Lord's birth.

"Starstruck" play performed Sunday at Ada Full Gospel Church

Several events take place Dec. 18 at the church

Ada Full Gospel Church will have several programs this Sunday.

The Christmas play, "Starstruck," will be performed during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Santa will visit the Sunday School classes. A candlelight service is set for 6 p.m.

The church is located at 1047 SR 235 north of Ada. Karen and Fred Rarey are the pastors.

Church of Christ hosts community candlelight service Dec. 17

Ada Church of Christ will host a community candlelight service on Saturday, Dec. 17. Cornerstone Gospel Quartet and Peggy Richardson will sing. The evening will begin with light refreshments at 6 p.m. followed by the service at 7 p.m. which will conclude with the singing of "Silent Night."

Christmas cantata at First United Methodist

During Sunday's worship service

Ada First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, along with many friends from ONU, will present their annual Christmas Cantata titled, "Jesus! The Advent of the Messiah" by Mary McDonald and Rose Aspinall.

The performance is at 10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, during the morning worship service.

The 30-member choir will be accompanied by a full orchestra of community musicians and ONU students.
