Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes met

The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes 4-H Club help a meeting on Monday, May 1st, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hardin Northern Ag Building. There were 40 members, 9 advisers, and 4 guests. Recreation for the evening was a Human Scavenger Hunt led by Makenna Eibling. 

 Megan Miller gave a Treasurer's Report, Emma Miller talked over the minutes of the previous meeting, and Cassie Deckling led role call. There was a health presentation by Alyssa Heldman over the dangers of anorexia and bulemia, both eating disorders, and Maryanne Woodruff gave a presentation about animal health and how you should be observing your animals to make sure there is no abnormal behavior.

Ada students part of state-wide survey

Voluntary survey conducted by several educational and youth serving organizations

Ada school students from grades 7 to 11 are particpating in a statewide survey this spring titled: Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!).

OHYES! represents the collaborative effort of the Ohio Departments of Education, Health and Mental Health & Addiction Services, Ohio National Guard and representatives of educational and youth serving organizations.

The survey is a free, voluntary, web-based survey to collect information that schools and communities can use to access resources to reduce risk behaviors and create healthy and safe community, school and family environments.

Pettit College of Law ranks first among Ohio law schools for first-time bar passage

The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law ranks first among Ohio law schools for first-time bar passage.

In the results for the February bar exam released by the Ohio Supreme Court on April 28, 2017, Ohio Northern University ranked first among Ohio law schools in first-time bar passage with a rate of 88 percent, which is well above the statewide average of 66 percent.

Polls not open in Hardin County on May 2

Tuesday, May 2, is the date for Ohio's primary election - but polls in Hardin County will not be open because there are no local issues or party runoffs.
