Maria Cronley named ONU provost/vice president for academic affairs

Currently associate provide at Miami

Maria Cronley has been named provost/vice president for academic affairs (VPAA) at Ohio Northern University. She will begin her duties Jan. 12, 2017. Cronley is currently associate provost and associate vice president for academic affairs at Miami University in Ohio.

“We are very pleased that Dr. Maria Cronley will be joining the Ohio Northern community in this important position,” said Daniel DiBiasio, ONU president. “Her exceptional experience as a teacher, scholar and administrator will greatly benefit ONU and advance the University's academic mission.”

Rotary Club invites you to food-wine pairing Dec. 8

The Ada Rotary Club will sponsor a food and wine pairing at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at The Inn.

There will be fine wines paired with food, live music, and a holiday atmosphere for the event. Cost is $47 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Proceeds will support Rotary community projects. Call 419-772-2500 for reservations.

Here's nearly four pages of events happening in Ada in December and January

Did you know that the movie “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” will have a free viewing at the Ada Public Library in December?

And, in December and January there’s a PaintINN at the Inn at ONU?  There’s also a holiday craft fair at Vancrest in December.

School board sets Dec. 2 meeting; policy committee meets Dec. 6

The Ada school board will hold a special meeting at 3:45 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, in the board room.

The meeting will be in executive session to disucss employment and compensation of public employees.

The board policy committee will meet at 5:45 p.m., Tuesday, 6.
