Amelia is officially in remission

Chemotheraphy is discontinued

Amelia Griffin, Ada’s young super hero, received tremendous news this week: As a result of a PPET scan on Monday, her biopsy results negative. Amelia is officially in remission.

This news was reported by her parents on Team Amanda Facebook. Here’s the Facebook report:

They discontinued her chemo!

Hopefully, she will be going back on the DFMO clinical trial.

Thank you for your prayers and for continuing through this journey with Amelia and our family. You are truly a blessing to our family and we are forever grateful!

At least the ducks like it

Ducks like parks, too. Weekend rains brought large puddles of water. This male mallard duck was taking a leisurely swim at War Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon. (Jerry Maag photo)

That's a Wheeling and Lake Erie diesel passing Ada

You never know what you'll see when a fast freight passes through Ada on the Chicago, Ft. Wayne and Eastern Railroad.

Here's an Ohio Northern University-colored Wheeling and Lake Erie locomotive pulling an eastbound freight.

We've seen W & LE, Ohio and Indiana, Genesee and Wyoming and even Burlington Northern diesels pass through town - far removed from the days of maroon-colored Pennsylvania Railroad.

Watch this freight on the video below.
