PHOTO Symphonic Metamorphosis at the Freed Center

Under the direction of Dr. Charles Bates, the ONU Symphonic Band presents Symphonic Metamorphosis at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23. The concert is at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. The Ada High School boys tennis team starts a new season under first-year head coach Morgan Bass this spring with an inexperienced roster.

Jones takes second, sets new girls bench press record at McClain State Powerlifting

KENTON__Kennedy Jones, a Junior at Ada High School, took second place in her class in girls competition at the 36th Annual Bill McClain State Powerlifting event. 

Competing among the best in Divisions 5, 6, and 7 at Kenton High School on Saturday, March 16, Jones secured second place in her class with:

Squat: 330 lbs

Deadlift: 305 lbs

Bench Press: 165 lbs

These scores culminated in a total lift of 800 lbs, for a 60 lb increase from her regional performance. Notably, Jones’ bench press of 165 lbs contributed to her second-place finish and set a new state record, surpassing the prior record held by Bianca Phongphiou of Montpelier High School.
