It's beginning to look a lot like...

Rudolph movie, PaintINNs, holiday craft show and lots more on Ada's calendar

Here's nearly four pages of events happening in Ada in December and January

Did you know that the movie “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” will have a free viewing at the Ada Public Library in December?

And, in December and January there’s a PaintINN at the Inn at ONU?  There’s also a holiday craft fair at Vancrest in December.

How can you keep on top of all the activities taking place in Ada during December and January?

School board sets Dec. 2 meeting; policy committee meets Dec. 6

The Ada school board will hold a special meeting at 3:45 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, in the board room.

The meeting will be in executive session to disucss employment and compensation of public employees.

The board policy committee will meet at 5:45 p.m., Tuesday, 6.

Church of Christ candlelight service Dec. 17

The Ada Church of Christ, 316 S. Main, will hold a candlelight service at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, with Cornerstone Gospel Quartet and Peggy Richardson providing Christmas music.

The evening will begin with pastries and fellowship at 6 p.m. A free will offering will be taken.

Catherine "Kitty" Freed memorial service on Dec. 17

A memorial service and celebration of life of Catherine "Kitty" Freed will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, Dec. 17, in English Chapel. She died at her home on Nov. 25.  Mrs. Freed served as First Lady at Ohio Northern from 1979 to 1999 when her husband, DeBow, was university president.

There will be a display of mementos and a video of her life of service at 10 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. in English Chapel.

A video of the Freed years at Ohio Northern will be shown at 10:20 a.m.
Following the 11 a.m. service, a buffet lunch will be served in McIntosh Center. The videos of her life of service and the Freed years at ONU also will be shown during the lunch.
