Successful ONU men’s lacrosse team opens season Feb. 16

The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse program is scheduled to open its 2019 regular season under fourth-year head coach Nat St. Laurent on Feb. 16 as they host Elmhurst (Ill.), the first of seven affairs scheduled at Dial-Roberson Stadium for the upcoming season.

Following the home opener, Northern will travel out-of-state for five consecutive contests beginning with an eastward journey to Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) on February 23. The stretch continues into early March and includes stops at Guilford (N.C.), Pfeiffer (N.C.), Brevard (N.C.), and Alfred (N.Y.).

Ohio Northern will host Wittenberg March 19 in the nonconference finale while the conference season begins March 23 and 30 against Wilmington and Mount Union, respectively, to close out the month.

The Polar Bears play host to OAC foes Heidelberg, Muskingum (Senior Day), Capital, and Otterbein in the month of April. They also make trips to Baldwin Wallace, Marietta, and John Carroll during the final month of regular season play.

The Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round is scheduled for May 1 with the championship game to be held May 4.

Last season, ONU would post 14-3 overall and 7-1 conference records to share the OAC Regular Season title. The team would also qualify for the OAC Tournament, finishing the 2018 season in the conference semifinal.
