The  Ohio Northern men's soccer program was named a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 school year. The Polar Bears joined a list of 289 college men's soccer programs that received the honor for the past academic year.

The United Soccer Coaches recognize programs with the award to celebrate the academic achievements of college student-athletes who collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over an academic year.

The Nov. 6 ballot includes an important issue for voters in the Ada Exempted
Village Schools community who have the opportunity to help the district
continue its excellence.

This is not a new tax or a tax increase. Renewal of the five-year, 2.9-mill
permanent improvement levy will ensure the district has the needed funds for
textbooks, new technology, security upgrades, new buses, building repairs and
school equipment.

Voters in Ada have approved permanent improvement levies since 1975, with
strong support. Doing so also has helped ensure a strong community.
