A swim, anyone?

No one would want to take a dive into this dry swimming pool on a hot summer day (well, it was still summer until 4:02 p.m. Friday). Temps reached near 90 degrees on Friday, the last day of summer. People would have flocked to the pool, but Ada's favorite swimming hole was dry as a bone because a million dollar renovation is underway. Never fear, the pool will be ready for its usual opening time in late May with a new splash pad and other improvements. But, a swim would have been welcome this week when the temperatures remained in the high 80s all week, probably the hottest week of 2017. Welcome fall! (Monty Siekerman photo)
