Ada Area Doctor Committee trustees transfer funds to Hardin County Community Foundation

The Ada Area Doctor Committee is activating its funds to create a new scholarship for area students pursuing a medical/healthcare career. The funds will be held and awarded by the Hardin County Community Foundation.

The Ada Lions Club would to thank the many sponsors and patrons for their support of the Lions Club food booth at this year’s Harvest and Herb Festival. Velma I. Piehl was a manager at Red Fox Inn

Velma I. Piehl, age 88, of Cridersville, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was born on April 28, 1934, in Lima, Ohio to the late Garner “Bud” and Evelyn (Losey) Winegardner.  Velma married Arthur Spencer and he preceded her in death.  She then married Arlie Piehl in 1998 and he survives.

AHS girls soccer 4-0 loss to C-G

COLUMBUS GROVE--The Ada High School girls soccer team lost 4-0 at league leader Columbus Grove in a Northewest Conference match Monday night, September 19.

The Ada record dropped to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat. CG improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the NWC to stay atop the league standings.

Junior Katie Sizemore made 24 saves in goal for Ada.

The Ada girls (0-2 NCOSA) host Upper Sandusky (3-2-1, 1-1 NCOSA) Thursday at 5 p.m.
