OHSAA football calendar for Fall 2022

Does your fall schedule revolve around high school football? Here's the 2022 calendar from Ohio High School Athletic Association.

Fall sports practices officially begin on Monday, August 1 for OHSAA member schools, including 712 schools that will compete in 11-man football. The first Friday night is August 19.

August 5-13 - Scrimmage Dates

August 15 - Regular-Season Begins (First Friday is August 19)

Oct. 22 - Regular-Season Ends

Oct. 23 - Final Computer Points and Playoff Qualifiers Announced (top 16 schools in each region)

July 25 Blood Drive in Ada

On Monday, July 25, the Ada Visiting Nurses & Hospice will host a Red Cross Blood Drive.

Polar Bear 5K is Saturday, July 16

On Saturday, July 16, Polar Bears and other ONU supporters will be running (or walking, skipping...) 5K in the third annual Polar Bear Virtual 5K in support of ONU’s Dimension Award Scholar Program.

The on-campus race route is attached. Not ready to run? You can support the event by cheering on those who do and make a donation HERE.

Hudmon is 2022 Kappa Epsilon Career Achievement recipient

Karen S. Hudmon, Ohio Northern University class of '86, DrPH, MS, BSPharm, CTTS, FAPhA has been awarded the 2022 Kappa Epsilon Professional Fraternity Career Achievement Award.

The Career Achievement Award was created in 1965 to honor a KE member for their professional accomplishments.

Claire Vaubel named Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International

Claire Vaubel, a member of the Ada Rotary club, was recently honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by virtue of her gift of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. The honor is named for the founder of Rotary International.

Stop by the Ada Public Library at 3 p.m. on Thursdays for board games.
