411Blast introduces HS sophomores to Apollo Career Center

Over 750 sophomores in Apollo Career Center’s 11-member district will be visiting Apollo during 411Blast, Friday, January 28, 2022. The school is located at 3325 Shawnee Rd, Lima, Ohio.

This day is designed to expose students to possibilities and pathways that are available for their career and/or college success. Students choose two programs of interest and then spend one-half day visiting those labs, meeting the instructors and participating in fun, interactive demos and activities. Two new programs have been added to this year's option. HVAC and Senior-Only Robotics

Fall Dean's List for Ohio Northern University

The following area students were named to the Dean’s List for fall semester 2021 at Ohio Northern University.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must attain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and be enrolled full time.

Ada Schools 2-hour delay January 26

Ada Schools are on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, January 26.

 

2022 Ada Academic and Music Booster purse bingo announced

UPDATE: The date for this event is February 20. The original text was incorrect.

The 2022 Ada Academic and Music Booster purse rafle fundraieser will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 20 in MacIntosh Center on the campus of Ohio Northern University.

All table/seat reservations will be available for purchase online beginning at 9 a.m. on January 29, 2022. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis.

December 2021 Ada Middle School students of the month

The Ada Bulldogs Facebook page announced the December 2021 middle school students of the month: Ashley, Becca, Braylon, Cooper, Marely and Kenyon.

Clothing collection for family following home loss

According to the Ada First United Methodist Church, the Ada family that lost their home on January 21 to a fire is staying in Lima until new housing is found in Ada.

The family's home was a total loss. The children have received one pair of shoes each, a new coat, hat, and gloves from family friends. The children have limited clothes, shoes and no toys. The family has received some bedding donations.
