Janette Moore 1936 - 2021

Janette Moore, age 84, went Home to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. 

She was born on July 24, 1936 in Langley, KY to Manor and Fannie (Arms) Manuel and they preceded her in death.  On January 21, 1956 she married the love of her life Harry Moore at the courthouse in Kentucky.  

$8,149 pledged to Ada food pantry

During April, Ada elementary read-a-phone Kindergarteners, first and second graders read 5,147 books. Ada third, fourth and fifth graders read a total of 266,199 pages. Along with the reading, students collected pledges and food for the Ada Food Pantry. Students collected 947 food items and $8,149.70. (Photo from Ada Bulldogs Facebook)

Free USTA introduction to tennis at Ada Park Saturday

The Ada Tennis Association will host a free tennis day at the park courts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22.

Interactive tennis activities, games and play for adults and children ages 4 on up will take place at the event.

Free tennis balls, prizes and free racquets will be given out. Participants can come anytime May 22, and stay as long as wanted.

The four park courts are located at 401 N. Park Drive in Ada near the pool.
 

The Association reminds viewers that tennis is also a lifetime sport, which is safe and socially distant.

Kayla Richardson named vice-president of branch operations

Promotion announced at Ada's Quest Federal Credit Union

Quest Federal Credit Union announced today that Kayla Richardson is promoted to the vice-president of branch operations, Ada. 

Richardson assumes the duties of office management immediately, training under the departing vice-president of branch operations, Patty King. 

“Kayla started with Quest over seven years ago and has worked at every level of member service including her most recent position as call center coordinator. 

I am very pleased to see one of our own move into a high-level management position and it speaks volumes to the hard work Kayla has put in and the culture that we have built at Quest,” said Tammy Sherman, chief operations officer. 

Sooner than you think

Sign-up underway for kid's summer lunch program

Beatitudes hosts program from June 1 to July 27

Beatitudes will once again host a kid’s summer lunch program, according to Deb Curlis.

The program will begin June 1 and will continue through July 27. Meal pick-ups are each Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m. at Beatitudes, 210 N. Main St., Ada.
