Apollo levy would cost average home owner $2.50 per month
Apollo Career Center provided The Icon with details on its levy on the Nov. 6 ballot. The school is seeking approval of a 1-mill levy to upgrade its aging infrastructure, equipment and classroom space. If approved, it would cost the average homeowner about $2.50 a month or just over $30 a year.

What will Apollo do with the money if the levy passes?
High School Building Renovations:
• Total renovation of 36 year old facility infrastructure, and upgrades to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
• Upgrade technology, fire alarm and security systems, and wireless network
• New Science labs
• Lecture Hall/Testing Lab
• New Career Technical program space for automotive programs and carpentry
• Career Tech renovations to add Sports Fitness and Exercise Science, and Alternative Energies
• Parking lots and sidewalks
Adult Education Building Renovations:
• Addition for Nurse Aid program and a student study center
• 24/7 Adult Welding lab
• Automotive Building Renovation:
• Convert to Adult programming: Public Safety, HVAC, Motorcycle, and Law Enforcement
