Five Ohio Northern men's soccer players were named All-Ohio and four were named Academic All-Ohio in voting done by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association.
Seniors Nate Bascom, Mac Church,Cameron Johnson and Austin Windsorwere all named First Team All-Ohio.
In addition, senior Chris Matejka and freshman Keegan Ross were both named Second Team All-Ohio and head coach Brent Ridenour was named Coach of the Year.
Bascom, Church, Johnson and Windsor were also named First Team Academic All-Ohio, while junior Matt Fleming was named Second Team Academic All-Ohio.
Bascom earns his second straight First Team All-Ohio First Team Academic All-Ohio selection.
He is a biology major.
Bascom put together a great season, finishing with 18 goals and setting the school record in points with 54 and assists with 18.
He concludes his career as ONU's all-time career leader in points with 155 and assists with 43.
Bascom also scored 56 career goals which ties him for the most in school history with Ridenour.
Church, a sport management major, is tied for the most matches played in program history with 98.
He is the all-time leader in career shutouts with 47 and ranks second in saves with 350.
This season, Church posted a school record 15 shutouts, including a school record seven in a row, and made 77 saves while giving up 0.77 goals per game.
Johnson earns his second First Team All-Ohio selection, and third overall.
The electrical engineering major scored 13 goals this season and posted a career high in assists and points with nine and 35 respectively.
Johnson ranks fourth in school history in goals with 45, is tied for ninth in assists with 23 and is fourth all-time with 113 points.
Windsor was the anchor of the Polar Bear defense that gave up just 21 goals all season.
He is majoring in mechanical engineering.
Windsor scored a career high six goals and registered three assists on his way to being named OAC Defender of the Year.
Matejka, a creative writing major, was also named to the D3soccer.com All-American team.
He set career high's this season in goals with eight, assists with 10 and points with 26.
Matejka now ranks seventh in school history with 24 assists.
Ross, a mechanical enginnering major, put together a record breaking freshman season.
He scored a team high 22 goals and recorded 53 points, both ONU freshman records.
His 22 goals were also tied for the most in single season history.
Fleming earns his first Academic All-Ohio selection.
He was the recipient of the NCAA Elite 89 Award at the Final Four, which is given to the player with the highest grade point average at the site.
The defender, who is a double major in international business and spanish, posted a career high four assists while being a career contributer for the Polar Bears defensive unit.
Ridenour is the winningest coach in ONU men's soccer history.
He has posted a 219-90-24 (69.4 percent) in 15 seasons as head coach.
Ridenour was also named OAC Coach of the Year and NSCAA Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year.
Ohio Northern finished their season with a school record 25 win and won their third consecutive OAC Tournament Championship and second straight OAC Regular Season Championship.
The Polar Bears also advanced to the NCAA III Tournament Championship for the first time in school history.
