Jolene’s Cozy Café Breakfast Buffet
Kick off Easter Weekend by visiting the Grand Opening of Jolene's Cozy Cafe Breakfast Buffet on March 30 from 7am to 11am. Buffet, including drink, only $5. Kids 10 and under eat FREE!

Easter Brunch Buffet at the Inn at ONU
Enjoy traditional breakfast favorites at our delicious Sunday breakfast.  Don’t miss the special Easter Brunch Buffet at The Inn at ONU.  Held from 10:30AM to 2:30PM, this incredible brunch buffet will feature items such as Roasted Sirloin of Beef, Maple Glazed Ham, Herb Baked Tilapia, Corn O’ Brien, Green Bean Almandine.  Enjoy many more Easter buffet favorites along with regular breakfast items and a decadent dessert selection.
Pianist Fred Reid will play from 10:00AM to 2:00PM and the Easter Bunny will make an appearance from 11:00AM to 2:00PM.
Cost for the Easter Brunch Buffet is $18.95 per adult; children ages 4-12 are $8.95 and children three and under are free (tax and gratuity not included).  Advance reservations are required.  Please call 419.772.2500 to make your reservation today.

Area Easter Events for the Kids
·         The Optimist Club of Kenton-Central Hardin County will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt on the Hardin County Courthouse lawn Saturday, March 30 at 1PM. Children may line up at 12:30pm. All children age 10 and under are encouraged to attend this free event.  Four age categories are designated:  0-3 year olds, 4-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, and 9-10 year olds.
·         The Mt. Victory Village Council will be sponsoring an Easter Egg hunt for elementary school age kids and younger on March 30 at 1PM at the Mt. Victory Community Park.
·         March 30 @ 2PM: Age Groups: 2yrs & under, 3-5yrs, & 6-8yrs. The egg hunt will begin promptly at 2pm inside the library & prizes will be given, so check your eggs! We ask that baskets & bags NOT be used to gather eggs. Easter Bunny will be at the courthouse for the Hunt at 1pm, then will "hop" down to the library by 2pm!

Celebration of Life-Not By Choice
Dinner & entertainment for those who are fighting cancer, those who have beat cancer, for those families who have lost someone to cancer and donors of NBC Outreach on April 11 at 6PM at Abundant Life Assemble of God, 1010 E. Franklin St, Kenton. Catered by Jolene's Cozy Cafe. RSVP by April 1.  You can register at Jolene’s or by calling 419-673-9307. Upcoming Programs at Mary Lou Johnson Library
On April 2, 9, 23 and 30 there will be an American Mahjong Class from 2:30PM-4:30PM for any adult interested. No need to bring anything except yourself.
On April 13 beginning at 1PM, the Ohio Bird Sanctuary will be at the library to do a programs. There will be live birds and they will be talking about each bird and how they live in and around Ohio. All ages are welcome and the program is free.

College Credit for Work Experience
If your company promotes continuing education through tuition reimbursement or other means, these workshops are especially of interest to employees with five or more years of work experience.
College credit for experience saves time and money in obtaining a degree. There is no cost to attend these sessions. You can get started by attending the information session to be held at Rhodes State: April 3, 2013, 5PM to 7PM. Identity Theft Lunch and Learn
Identity Theft Lunch and Learn will be held on April 4 at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main St., Ada from 11:30AM to 12:30PM. Sheriff Keith Everhart will speak about different ways to avoid having your identity stolen. Make sure to reserve your lunch by adding your name to the signup sheet at Community Health Professionals or contact Deb Curlis at 419.634.7443 by Monday April 1. Space is limited, lunch is provided.

Annual Chicken BBQ by Keep Hardin County Beautiful
April 5, 2013, 4:00PM - 7:00PM at the First United Methodist Church in Kenton.  Tickets are available for a donation of $9.00, and may be purchased from any Keep Hardin County Beautiful Commission member or contact Becky Stevenson, Program Manager at the KHCB office or call 419.674.2216.  The meal will be 1/2 BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, Green Beans, Dessert, Roll w/Butter and Drink.  Proceeds go towards projects and the operation of KHCB.

“The Odd Couple, Female Version”
The Hardin County Players are excited to present to our community “The Odd Couple, Female Version” by Neil Simon and in cooperation with Samuel French, Inc.
“Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same. “
Director is Charles Brad Gerritsen and cast members include: Rick Purcell, Brad Gerritsen, Mariah Clawson, Shirley Byal, Michelle Kindell, Janet Jusick, Sara White and Shelly Fannon.
Performances will take place on April 5 and 6 at 8:00PM and April 7 at 2:00PM in the banquet room of the Kenton Elks Lodge.
The general public can purchase tickets in advance for $7.00 each or reserve a table for 4 at $25.00 from any cast member or at Huntington National Bank or Home Savings & Loan by March 29th. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
Something special this production is that with every advance ticket or table reservation (each member of the table gets a ticket) the audience member can take advantage of 10% off their meal at Henry’s Restaurant. Simply present the tear off stub of “The Odd Couple, female version” ticket at Henry’s on any one of the production days.
Snacks and Concessions will be available at the show.

YMCA Radio Day Auction
Tune into WKTN and the Time Warner Cable local Access Channel on April 6 from 9AM to 5PM to bid on many items from local businesses. This years’ Auction proceeds go towards programs offered at the Hardin County Family YMCA. For more information call 419.673.6131.

Getting More Out of Life
“Getting More Out of Life” will be held April 8 from 7:00PM—8:30PM at the First United Methodist Church sanctuary, 234 N. Main St., Kenton.
Dr. Todd Gillfillan, a 2012 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and certified in Applied Kinesiology will be the speaker for the evening.  He will answer questions about chiropractic in a clear and concise manner.  He will share how chiropractic and the proper vitamins and supplements help individuals to get more out of life. Dr. Gillfillan will also unpack the question “What can chiropractic do for common health concerns today such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, blood pressure, and diabetes?”
The program is sponsored by the Hardin County Homemakers Council and the OSU Extension, Hardin County office using a grant received from the Hardin County Community Foundation.  The program is free and open to the public.  No RSVP is required.

Upcoming @ ONU’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts
·         Symphonic Band Concert - The ONU Symphonic Band presents Praising Ohio, a celebration of the music and musicians of the buckeye state. March 21 at 7:30pm.
