Formerly Pennsylvania, then Conrail, the line through Ada is the Chicago, Fort Wayne & Eastern Railroad (CFE).

It's a short line offering service from Tolleston, Ind., (east of Chicago) to Crestline. The CFE operates approximately 315 miles of rail between Indiana and Ohio. Based on the volume of over 39,000 cars per year.

The CFE is part of the Genesee & Wyoming system, a short-line railroad holding company that owns or maintains interests in 63 railroads throughout six countries, and operates more than 7,400 miles of owned and leased track.
