RSVP for Christmas Luncheon
The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance will be hosting it’s Christmas Luncheon at 11:30am on December 12 at the Hardin County Armory, 128 N. Main St., Kenton. The lunch will be catered by the Plaza Inn Catering. The cost is $14 per person. Entertainment will be provided by Kenton Middle School’s Dimensions show choir. A Chinese Auction will also be held. If you would like to donate an item to the Chinese Auction and make reservations, please call the Alliance at 419.673.4131 by December 6.

Hardin County Safety Council Presents “The Funny Thing About Stress”
In this motivational and hilarious presentation, “America’s Funniest Stress buster,” Kay Frances offers a healthy dose of laughter that is just what the doctor ordered for your well-being. With her energetic, upbeat presentation, you’ll laugh while you learn without straining your brain. Kay will also have her book “The Funny Thing About Stress – A Seriously Humorous Guide to a Happier Life” available for sale.
Kay will be speaking during a regular Hardin County Safety Council Meeting on December 19 at 8am at Henry’s Restaurant, 995 N. Detroit St., Kenton. Limited space is available, RSVP by calling the Alliance at 419.673.4131 or email [email protected] before December 13.  The cost is $15 per person and breakfast is included.

Buy Local Holiday Contest
Forty-Five Hardin County Businesses signed up to participate in the first ever Buy Local Holiday Contest. The rules are simple: Visit Hardin County’s participating businesses and register to win gift certificates, coupons and more; Must be 18 years old or older to play; No purchase necessary; Employees of the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance, and the Buy Local Committee are not eligible to participate or win. List of participating businesses and detail will be available at the Alliance office, 225 S. Detroit St., Kenton, any of the participating businesses, online at www.hardinohio.org and our Facebook page Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance. This effort focuses on encouraging shoppers to buy local this holiday season. Drawings for prizes will be held on December 12.

Nominations for Annual Awards now being accepted
Nominations for the 2013 Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year and Community Service Awards will be accepted through February 3, 2014. Anyone from Hardin County may be nominated to receive these honors. To nominate a person, group or business for these awards, please complete an application and return with a short explanation of the qualifications that make this nominee deserving of the award. The application can be downloaded fromwww.hardinohio.org, from the Facebook page or picked up in the Alliance office. Entries should be submitted by February 3 to the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance office at 225 S. Detroit St., Kenton. You may also fax the completed form to 419.674.4876 or email it to [email protected].
