Ready, Set, Grow summer camp registration underway, family night set

Ready, Set, Grow Preschool will hold a family night program “The Importance of Early Literacy,” later this spring according to Jami Dellifield. In addition, information on two summer camps is now available.

May 13 Special Family Night
Amanda Bennett, director of the Ada Public Library, is the featured speaker during a family night. She will speak on “The importance of Early Literacy.” The program is from 6 to 7 p.m., at the preschool, 4171 State Route 235, Unit B, Ada.

“Come find out more about how reading to your child makes a difference in your child’s educational experience,” said Dellifield. “Children grow when a loved one reads to them and with them.”

This program is geared for parents, grandparents and caregivers of children ages birth to 6.

Persons attending may also sign up their children from age 3 up to receive their own library card and learn how they can participate in the Ada Library summer reading program.

Summer camps
Two summer camps are offered, depending upon registration numbers. The first, June 9-13, titled “Super Silly Science Spectacular,” takes place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There is a $50 registration fee.

From Aug. 18-22 is a “Back to School Bonanza” camp. It takes places from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and has a $50 registration fee.

Registration for both or either camp is due by May 1 to guarantee that the camp takes place.
