Megan Williams elected president of Hootenannies 4-H Club

The second meeting of the Hardin Co Hootenannies was held at the Ag Credit meeting room in Kenton on State Route 309 W. Once again, we really appreciate Ag Credit for allowing us to meet in such a comfortable spot.

The meeting was called to order by past-president Laura Spradlin. Meadow Cromer led the American flag pledge and Miranda Holbrook led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was taken by Miranda with 13 previous members answering with their favorite color. We also welcomed one new member, Riley Fleece.

We voted to take care of the flowers around the courthouse every day for a month as our community service, watering and weeding, through the "Keeping Hardin Co Beautiful" project.

Then we held our elections. The new officers are:  President – Megan Williams, Vice-President – Isaac Davis, Secretary – Miranda Holbrook, Treasurer – Seth Davis, Reporter – Faith Holbrook, Recreation Leaders – Preston Brien, Levi Beiler, and Sean Hurley.

We voted on a group project and chose Vet Science to do as a club.  Everyone turned in the projects they were taking this year. Refreshments were homemade cookie bars brought by Preston Brien and drinks were provided by Landyn Hijma.

Our next meeting will be on Sunday, May 4 at Miranda Holbrook's home in Roundhead at 4 p.m. Health and Safety reports will be done by Seth Davis and Levi Beiler. Refreshments will be taken care of by Miranda and Faith Holbrook. Please bring lawn chairs. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we will have a wonderful game of whiffle ball between the parents and the members! See you then!
