Look at all the fundraising opportunities benefit music students and music boosters

The Ada Music Boosters would like to remind everyone of multiple fundraising opportunities available throughout the year.  Some require nothing more than shopping the way you already do and some are mutually beneficial to not only the Boosters, but to you as well.

Programs currently available include:
Ada Bingo - Ada Bingo continues to be a favorite Thursday night event for many Ada residents. If you haven’t been out, come try it.

Ada Bingo plays weekly at the Alumni N-men Building, 111 Central Avenue, Ada. Park in the Depot parking lot. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with play beginning at 6:55 p.m.

Ada Bingo uses new, radio-controlled electronic machines, as well as paper packages. Proceeds from Ada Bingo benefit Ada Music Boosters, Ada Lion’s Club, and the Ada-Liberty Volunteer Fire Department.

If you are the parent or family member of an Ada High School Music student, you can earn money for your child’s student account by volunteering to work at Bingo.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED - Volunteers earn $10 towards their student trip account for each time they work Ada Bingo. To volunteer to work, call coordinator Deb Rall at 419-303-5344.

Bulldog Cards – The annual Bulldog card sale is going on now.  This card, once purchased, provides free food and money saving offers at many Ada, Kenton, Bluffton, and Lima area restaurants and businesses.

The cards can be purchased for only $5 each and are good from now until the end of 2015.  To purchase a card, please see any Ada Music Student, Ada Music Booster officer, or contact Ada High School. A list of participating vendors and discounts can be found at www.adamusicboosters.org. Cards may also be purchased through the Ada Music Booster website.

SCRIP program - When you purchase SCRIP, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid gift cards which are used just like cash. You can use SCRIP to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, gasoline, and other essentials.

Hundreds of area retailers (including Wal-Mart, Marathon, Wendy’s, Amazon, Macy’s, Outback, and Menards) participate in this program, which means that just about anything that you normally would buy, can help us help your kids.

Not only are you benefitting the Ada Music Boosters when you participate, but you will also earn credit towards the fees charged to your students. The Ada Music Boosters have agreed to credit 1% of your total annual purchases toward music department fees you are responsible for.

These fees can range from solo and ensemble costs, Varsity Singers or marching band fees or be applied to the cost of a Disney or New York City trip, etc. The more you use the program, the more you earn towards for your student account! It’s a win-win opportunity for us and you.  More information and a link to sign up for the program, please visit www.adamusicboosters.org.

Kroger Rewards Card – If you shop at Kroger, you can participate in Kroger Community Rewards.  Once your Kroger rewards card is linked to Ada Music Boosters, the boosters will receive funding from Kroger.  For more information and a link to sign up, please visit www.adamusicboosters.org and click on Fundraising information.

Window Clings – The Music Boosters sell window clings throughout the year.  These vary from a generic Ada High School cling to personalized activity specific clings.  For more information, contact any Music Booster officer or visit www.adamusicboosters.org

Save receipts and UPCs – Save Labels from “Our Family” Brand at Community Markets. The Ada Music Boosters are collecting labels from “Our Family” brand of products sold at Community Markets.

The boosters receive 5 cents per label when redeeming. Simply save the UPC (bar-code) with the “Our Family” logo attached – cut the label so both are kept together, like shown below. Drop them off in the high school or elementary offices, bring to Booster meetings or give to any officer.

The boosters also participate in the Chief Supermarkets sales receipt collection program called “Community Cash,” as well as, A+ points from Tyson chicken products. Boosters get a percentage of the sales receipts from Chief (only for receipts dated between September and May are eligible) and receive 24 cents per Tyson A+ point.

Drop these off in the high school or elementary offices, in an envelope marked “Ada Music Boosters,” bring to booster meetings or give to any officer.

About the Boosters

The boosters are a non-profit, charitable, volunteer-driven organization, which supports excellence in music education and performance opportunities for all students of the Ada Exempted Village Schools.

As an organization, the Ada Music Boosters is committed to providing Ada students with as many music opportunities as possible, but this cannot be done without the support of the community.

The boosters are always looking for more parents of music students and members of the community to get involved. Even if you don’t have much time to commit, there are ways you can help.

Please attend our Booster meetings to find out more.  To those who have helped and will help in the future, the Ada Music Boosters are extremely grateful.
