Ada is active this spring - check out these upcoming events

This is an active community. Here are several upcoming events that may be of interest to you. Check them out.

• A Lupus support group will meet at 7 pm on Monday, March 16, at Crossroads Church of God on SR 309 west of Ada. For more information call 440-717-0183.

• The Compassionate Friends will meet at 7 pm on Tuesday, March 17, at First Assembly of God Church at SR 81 and I-75. This is a support group for parents who have lost a child. The organization is for parents grieving the death of a child, whether the death was recent or not.

• The Hardin County Herb Society will meet at 6:30 pm Tuesday, March 17, at the First Methodist Church in Alger. For details call 419-634-0422.

• The next Lions Club Bingo is set for Thursday, March 19, at the N-Men's building. Club members will begin mulch delivery the first weekend in May. Proceeds from both activities help the community.

• Kappa Alpha Theta sorority plans an Easter egg hunt for families with children at noon Sunday, March 29, at War Memorial Park. Meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy a lot of candy, and have some fun.

• Friday, April 3, is the deadline to order pond fish from the Hardin County Soil and Water Conservation office. For details call 419-673-0456.

• Active Parenting Now in 3 will begin at 4 pm on Tuesday, April 7,  at the Dicke Building. Meetings also will be held April 14 and April 21. The sessions teach parents how to be the greatest influence on their children. To register call 419-674-2297.

• Community Health Professionals will sponsor a dinner (6 pm) and charity auction (7 pm) on Thursday, April 23, in McIntosh Center. Tickets are $20 each for an evening of fun and remembrance. Proceeds benefit the visiting nurses and hospice services.
