What did you buy at this year's Wilson's garage sale?

Hundreds of people lined up before 8 a.m. for the annual Wilson Sporting Good Co. garage sale on Saturday morning. The event was held in the company's parking lot, nearby parking areas were filled to capacity.

The sun had barely peeked above the horizon, but a long line of shoppers was already on hand to take home some bargains.

One man said he was there for the "good deals."

Another said he was carrying out golf clubs for $55 that would normally sell for $200 in a retail store.

With a sack full of basketballs, one man told of having three teenage grandsons who love to play hoops. "These six basketballs will last them about six months," he said laughing.

"I buy at the garage sale to support my mom, she works here," one lady said.

Police were posted at the sale area, but the large line of people was very orderly, surprisingly quiet, as the people concentrated on shopping.

The sale included footballs, overruns, blemished footballs and scrap footballs and many other miscellaneous sporting good items.

At Super Bowl time, Wilson's brings national, even international, attention to Ada, with media here doing stories about the Made-in-Ada pigskin.
