Lynne does it again! You can purchase her recent book at The Cask Room book signing event

The Cask Room, 127 S. Main St., Ada, will host a book signing for Ada author, Lynne Scott, from 3 to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, according to Steve Bates of The Cask Room.

The event celebrates the release of the Ada author's newest book “Learning to Heel.”

Here’s a synopsis of the story:

Desperate for anonymity and perspective, fading A-list actor Michael Quinlan drives to the middle of nowhere. Searching for anything to keep him from thinking about his own problems, he stumbles upon his neighbor, Lauren Sanders, a young, gun-wielding widowed dog trainer.

Michael passes the time observing Lauren’s dog obedience classes. Soon he learns that persuading Lauren to lower her weapon, both literally and figuratively, is much more difficult without a script or stunt double.

The book, of 249 pages, is available for sale at the book signing. It is also available in Ada at The Gallery on Main Street, The Inn at ONU and at Wolfie’s, Findlay. The book is listed at $11.95.

The book is also available on Amazon in printed form and Kindle. Click here for Amazon details.

According to Steve Bates of The Cask Room, during the book signing anyone who purchased a book will get $1 off any drink.

Scott began writing with the craft of screenwriting and has completed five screenplays. NANOWRIMO challenged her to try her hand at novel writing.

Since 2009, she has completed several novels and one novella. Her first published work is “Dingo Devotionals: Learning to Heel.”

She began Good Shepherd Boarding Kennel in 1998 and has continued it for 17 years (and counting). She also became a licensed Zumba instructor in 2011.
