Dakota Dunifon hauled in a 6 pound catfish at the Liberty Conservation Club derby on Saturday night.
He caught the first two cats. Why hold a tourney from 6 p.m. until midnight? Two reasons why the the whiskered fish wander ponds at night: catfish are light sensitive to sun and heat and are nocturnal. (Monty Siekerman photo)
