Girls' tennis team whitewashes Lima Senior

LIMA - Visiting Ada whitewashed Lima Senior 5-0 in girls tennis action Monday evening.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-1 as they recorded their second straight road win. Ada won all five matches in straight sets.

Meredith Marshall improved to 4-2 at singles with a near double bagel win. Shelby Higgins also dropped just one game to win at third singles. Libbie Milks lost just two games in her convincing victory at second singles.

Callee Young and Samantha Crawford shut out their opponents at second doubles, winning all 12 games. Paige Hopson and Melina Temple also won easily at first doubles.

Bulldog boys crush MC

ADA - Ada whipped visiting Miller City 9-3 in boys soccer action Monday evening at the park.

The Bulldog record improved to 2-0 with the blowout victory over the Wildcats. They have netted 19 goals in two games so far.

Noah Pinkney led the Bulldog offensive assault with three goals. Christopher Reyes tsllied a pair of goals and dishe dout two assists.

Logan Williams also netted a pair of scores. William Jolliff and Nathan Allen also scored a goal apiece.

Bulldog keeper Ace Gamble made seven saves in goal.

Ada plays at Hardin County foe Kenton Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Ada spikers scalped by 'Skins

ST. HENRY - The Ada volleyball squad went to St. Henry Monday and lost a non-league match in straight sets.

The Lady Bulldog record dropped to 2-1 with the 25-10, 25-9, 25-12 defeat to the Lady Redskins.

Junior Maddie Gossard passed out seven assists, recorded one kill, made three digs and served two aces.

Junior Melina Woods knocked down a team-high six kills and added five digs. Senior Haley Wyss knocked down four kills.

The Redskins also won the junior varsity match 25-12, 25-8.

Ada hosts local arch-rival USV Tuesday evening in the elementary gym.

Ada linksters compete

PAULDING - Host Paulding won a three-team Northwest Conference golf match Monday vs. Ada and Bluffton.

The Panthers shot 176 to nose out the Panthers (184), while the Bulldogs were a distant third (289).

Ada is now 0-7 overall and 0-3 in NWC play.

The Bulldog linksters play Wednesday at Bluffton along with NWC foes Columbus Grove and Delphos Jefferson.
