Padrone’s Pizza won bragging rights for the best pizza in Ada following Monday night’s Ada pizza bake off sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.
Also competing the contest were East of Chicago, Easter House and Cosi. Residents who tasted the three entries based the award upon voting that took place.
In addition, donations at the event totaled over $100 to be donated between ReStore Community Center and the Ada Food Pantry.
Several Ada residents were winners in the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce fun fact game.
• First place was a $25 gift card to Padrone’s and four movie passes from Ada Theatre. Winner was Bill Trudeau.
• Second place was a $25 gift card to East of Chicago. Winner was Suzy Hardesty.
• Third place was four movie tickets to Ada Theatre. Winner was Tammy Hull.
“We had a fantastic number people attend,” said Deb Curlis, Ada chamber president.
She added that the next chamber event is the town and gown banquet on Monday, Nov. 7, at McIntosh Center.
“We had over 10 responses for the citizen of the year,” she said, adding that each is very qualified for the honor.
